Our Commitment
We are dedicated to providing a platform that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We continuously work to improve the accessibility and usability of our platform to ensure a positive experience for all users.
Standards and Compliance
AscendEd Intelligence aims to conform to the following accessibility standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA compliance
- Section 508: Compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
- ADA Title III: Adherence to Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for digital accessibility
Accessibility Features
Navigation and Interaction
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements can be accessed and operated using only a keyboard
- Focus Indicators: Clear visual indicators show which element has keyboard focus
- Skip Links: Skip navigation links allow users to bypass repetitive content
- Logical Tab Order: Elements receive focus in a meaningful, logical sequence
Visual Design
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Text Scaling: Content remains readable and functional when text is resized up to 200%
- Responsive Design: Layout adapts to different screen sizes and orientations
- Color Independence: Information is not conveyed by color alone
Content and Structure
- Semantic HTML: Proper use of HTML elements to convey meaning and structure
- Headings: Logical heading hierarchy for easy navigation and comprehension
- Alternative Text: Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images and graphics
- Link Purpose: Clear, descriptive link text that indicates destination or purpose

Keyboard Navigation Guide
Our platform can be fully navigated using the following keyboard shortcuts:
- Tab - Move forward through interactive elements
- Shift + Tab - Move backward through interactive elements
- Enter or Space - Activate buttons and links
- Esc - Close modals, dropdowns, and expandable content
- Arrow Keys - Navigate within menus, dropdowns, and component groups
Known Limitations
We are continuously working to improve accessibility. Currently known areas for enhancement include:
- Some complex data visualizations may require alternative text descriptions for full comprehension
- Certain third-party integrations may have accessibility limitations beyond our control
- We are actively working to address these items and welcome feedback on additional improvements
Third-Party Content
While we strive to ensure that all content on our platform is accessible, some third-party content or integrations may not be fully under our control. We work with our vendors and partners to encourage accessibility compliance across all integrated services.
